Privacy Policy

bzzy is operated by bzzy LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“bzzy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at www.bzzy.life (the “Site”) and, in the future, through the bzzy application (the “App”), and how we use and protect it.

Today, bzzy operates a pre-launch waitlist website. The information practices described in Sections 3–7 reflect what we actually collect today. Sections marked Full platform — for launch describe practices that will apply once the bzzy marketplace app launches, and are provided for transparency and planning. We will update this policy and obtain any required consents before those practices take effect.

When you join our waitlist or contact us, we may collect:

• Name (or first name) you provide.
• Email address.
• Signup type — for example, whether you indicated you are a kid, a parent, or a neighbor, and whether you're joining the waitlist or requesting beta access.
• Neighborhood or general location if you choose to provide it.
• The tasks or interests you tell us about.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as general device and browser type.

We collect this information directly from you through our waitlist and contact forms, which are processed by our form provider, Formspree.

We care deeply about the privacy and safety of minors, and we design bzzy to put a parent or guardian in control for every user under 18.

The legal baseline. Under the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), online services must obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child under 13. Separately, a number of U.S. states (including, for example, Florida, Georgia, Utah, and Louisiana) have enacted or proposed laws imposing additional parental-consent or age-verification requirements for older minors — in some cases up to age 16 or 18 — although several of these state laws are subject to ongoing legal challenges.

bzzy's stance goes further, by design. Unlike a social media service, bzzy is a platform that facilitates real, paid, in-person local work and the movement of money involving minors. Because of this, and because paid work by minors is also governed by federal and state child labor laws (which are separate from COPPA and privacy law), bzzy requires the involvement and approval of a parent or legal guardian for all users under the age of 18 — not only those under 13. This is a deliberate safety and compliance choice, and it is central to how bzzy works.

On the waitlist site today: bzzy is intended to be joined by parents/guardians and adults, or by minors with a parent's or guardian's involvement. If a minor wishes to join the waitlist, we ask for a parent's or guardian's email so we can involve them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without a parent's participation. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information without parental involvement, contact partners@bzzy.life and we will delete it.

We use the information we collect to:

• Add you to the waitlist and tell you when bzzy opens near you.
• Respond to your inquiries and communications.
• Understand interest by neighborhood so we can plan our rollout.
• Protect the Site and prevent abuse or fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers who help us operate (for example, our form and email provider), bound to protect the information.
• Legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers — if bzzy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

• Unsubscribe / opt out: You can ask us to remove you from the waitlist at any time by emailing partners@bzzy.life or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
• Access and deletion: You can ask what information we hold about you and request its deletion.
• State privacy rights: Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any right, contact partners@bzzy.life.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep waitlist information until you ask us to delete it or until it is no longer needed for the purposes described here.

Our Site may link to third-party sites (for example, our social media at @wearebzzy). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies separately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated “Last updated” date, and for material changes affecting the future App, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain any required consents.
